Weko – Tissue lotionizing with softeners, fragrances, caring substances

THE TASK

INDIVIDUAL PROPERTIES FOR TISSUES

Handkerchiefs, kitchen towels, toilet paper, napkins or cosmetic tissues shall not only clean but offer added value: Better sensation on the skin, a pleasant fragrance or even skin care properties. The product should be environmentally friendly, tear-resistant, soft and budget-priced. This creates challenges but also opportunities for product positioning on the market. The task calls for giving your tissues individual properties.

Refining through liquid application

Properties such as softness and absorbency, sensory effects and even fragrances can be achieved by applying liquids.

THE SOLUTION

NON-CONTACTING LIQUID APPLICATION

Finishing with WEKO-Fluid-Application-System (WFA) such as WEKO-FLOW with WEKO-SIGMA, is a profitable alternative to supplying additives to the pulp. The fibres are not subjected to mechanical strain at this. WFA apply liquids with ultra-fine metering to one or both sides, to individual or composite layers, and can be reproduced at any time. Time required to remove excess substances, to clean or dry systems, can thus be minimised. You will be working productively, with flexibility while saving valuable resources.
