Premier Paper Group acquires sign and display merchant PPB Ltd

PPB started as a paper and board merchant in 1979, they have c.40 employees and an annual turnover of c.£20m. PPB has invested heavily in recent years to provide a wide range of plastic, paper, board, and ACM display materials and finishing services for the screen print, large format litho print, and the digital display markets, as well as supplying sign makers and fabricators.

PPB has a strong tradition of delivering outstanding value to its customers, with offices located in Leeds and Dartford, backed up by stock held in over 85,000 square feet of modern high-bay warehousing. PPB is Premier’s fifth acquisition in the last four years as it expands further into added value and complementary markets.

Managing Director of PPB Ltd, Richard Proctor, and his brother Mark, say: “Our father, John Proctor, started PPB nearly 50 years ago. The company’s success has been built on great service provided by loyal, experienced, knowledgeable staff. We are delighted that both our sons, Harry and Freddie, will continue with PPB Ltd. The change in ownership will enable PPB to grow and prosper under a larger and well-respected organisation. The additional resources, logistics support, and expertise provided by Premier will allow us to expand and improve our service and product choice to customers.”

Premier Paper Group had a turnover of £285m in its last published consolidated annual accounts to December 2024 and is a leading supplier of paper, packaging and sign and display materials to the UK market. Premier is part of OVOL Japan Pulp & Paper Co. Ltd., a global company that operates in 22 countries with a turnover of £2.6bn.
