Sustainable paper made from renewable virgin fibre
Produced at MM Kwidzyn in Poland, MM POLAR® PLUS has been created to give converters and packaging producers greater flexibility where lower grammage, strong converting performance, and reliable paper quality are required. The new range responds to growing demand for paper-based packaging solutions that support efficient material use while maintaining the functional properties needed across food and non-food applications.
MM POLAR® PLUS is particularly suited to everyday essential packaging formats such as small bags, single-use pouches, bakery bags, fast-food packaging and food wrapping papers. As an excellent base for PE coating, film lamination and other barrier coating options, it provides converters with a versatile platform for applications that require additional grease, moisture or oxygen protection. In these cases, the additional barrier performance is created by the applied coating or lamination, while MM POLAR® PLUS provides the paper quality, surface properties and consistency needed for further processing.
The machine-finished kraft paper from MM Kwidzyn mill is engineered to combine a smooth surface, good formation, and reliable runnability, enabling converters to achieve consistent results across all printing, coating, varnishing, and bag-making processes. This makes it a practical choice in a market where process stability and cost efficiency matter as much as the visual impact of the end product.
MM POLAR® PLUS is made from 100% ECF virgin fibres, supporting quality, consistency, and suitability for sensitive and food contact applications. The range also offers food-contact possibilities, manufactured in compliance with standards including BfR XXXVI, FDA §§ 176.170, and Regulation (EC) No. 1935/2004.
MM Board & Paper is committed to offering converters and packaging producers a lightweight kraft paper solution designed for today’s packaging requirements: efficient, adaptable, and ready for a broad range of end-use applications.
