Kuantum Papers has successfully completed a major upgradation of its Paper Machine 2 (PM 2), reinforcing its commitment to technological advancement and operational excellence in paper manufacturing.
The comprehensive modernization of PM 2 focuses on enhancing core machine components to achieve significant improvements in product quality, production efficiency, process control, and overall machine performance. The project includes the installation of a new CD dilution control headbox, pond size press, and calender, along with an upgraded steam and condensate system and an additional dryer section.
Further strengthening the system, the company has integrated an advanced Quality Control System (QCS) and Distributed Control System (DCS) controls in stock preparation and approach flow, enabling better monitoring, precision, and process optimization across operations.
One of the most notable aspects of this achievement is the project’s completion within a record time of just 32 days, showcasing the strong coordination, dedication, and technical expertise of Team Kuantum. Their focused efforts ensured minimal disruption while delivering a significant upgrade to the production infrastructure.
