BioPak has partnered with ecosystem restoration platform veritree to fund the planting of nearly 60,000 verified trees over the next 18 months, supporting large-scale restoration projects in British Columbia, Canada, and Tanzania.
The partnership marks a significant step in BioPak’s sustainability journey by introducing fully verified tree-planting initiatives backed by veritree’s technology platform. Every planting session will be monitored using real-time field data, providing transparent insights into biodiversity improvements, water system restoration, land recovery, community benefits, and carbon sequestration.
The initiative strengthens BioPak’s long-standing environmental commitment, offering customers and stakeholders greater visibility into where trees are planted and the measurable impact they create. It complements the company’s broader sustainability strategy, under which 95% of its products are made from renewable materials and 74% of its paper and wood products are FSC® certified.
“Planting trees has been part of who we are since 2010, but this partnership takes our commitment to a new level,” said Richard Fine, Founder of BioPak. He added that veritree’s triple-verification system, supported by photographic evidence and field tracking, ensures accountability and measurable environmental outcomes.
As part of the collaboration, BioPak has launched a dedicated Impact Hub, a public dashboard that enables customers, partners, and stakeholders to monitor restoration progress in real time. The platform provides information on planting locations, restored land area, tree species, and estimated carbon sequestration.
Since 2010, BioPak has supported the planting of more than 210,630 trees through partnerships with Rainforest Rescue, Greenfleet, Ecologi, and other environmental organizations. The new collaboration with veritree builds on this legacy by prioritizing transparency and measurable restoration outcomes.

According to the United Nations, forests currently cover around 31% of the Earth’s land area, yet nearly 100 million hectares have been lost since 1990. BioPak’s latest initiative contributes to global efforts to restore degraded landscapes, improve ecosystem resilience, and support long-term climate action.
The announcement also reinforces BioPak’s Give Back Fund program, which has supported environmental restoration and tree-planting initiatives for more than 15 years, reflecting the company’s ongoing commitment to creating positive environmental and community impact.
