Clearwater Paper Introduces Circa™ Recycled Paperboard for the U.S. Packaging Market
Clearwater Paper Corporation has launched Circa™, a new range of coated recycled board (CRB) designed for folding cartons and carrier applications in the U.S. market. Developed in collaboration with Greenpaper, a global manufacturer of 100% recycled fiber paperboard, the new product line expands Clearwater Paper’s packaging portfolio with a sustainable, high-performance solution.
The Circa portfolio includes Circa Carton, a coated recycled board for folding cartons, and Circa Carrier, a durable, wet-strength carrier board engineered for demanding packaging applications. The products are designed to offer converters and brand owners a cost-effective alternative while delivering reliable printability, strength and consistent converting performance.
According to Clearwater Paper, the launch strengthens its ability to serve a wider range of customer requirements by complementing its existing premium solid bleached sulfate (SBS) paperboard offerings. The company noted that the collaboration combines its market presence, customer support and supply chain capabilities with Greenpaper’s advanced recycled paperboard manufacturing expertise.
Manufactured entirely from 100% recycled fiber, Circa paperboard supports sustainability initiatives while maintaining the durability and performance required for everyday packaging. Greenpaper produces the paperboard using a modern recycled paper machine and a circular manufacturing process that converts post-consumer materials into new packaging solutions.
The partnership is expected to improve access to high-quality coated recycled board for independent converters across the United States, providing a dependable supply of sustainable paperboard for a broad range of packaging applications.
