Rengo Co., Ltd. has announced that its Thai joint venture, Thai Containers Group Co., Ltd. (TCG), has acquired shares in Jin Zhong Fa Paper Industrial Co., Ltd., a corrugated packaging manufacturer based in Thailand.
Through the transaction, TCG has acquired 90% of the shares in Jin Zhong Fa Paper Industrial. The acquisition further strengthens Rengo Group’s presence in Thailand and expands its corrugated packaging manufacturing network in the country.
Jin Zhong Fa Paper Industrial produces corrugated packaging products and serves customers in Thailand. By joining the Rengo Group, the company will become part of TCG’s established corrugated packaging operations and network.
Following the acquisition, Rengo Group’s corrugated packaging manufacturing footprint in Thailand will increase from 15 plants to 16 plants. The expansion is expected to strengthen the Group’s ability to serve customers across the Thai market while supporting the development of its packaging business in Southeast Asia.
Rengo has continued to expand its corrugated packaging operations across Asia, with a focus on strengthening its production network and responding to growing packaging demand in regional markets.
The acquisition represents another step in Rengo Group’s strategy to expand its corrugated packaging business and enhance its presence in Thailand.
