Trident Limited has approved a major investment of ₹4,650 crore to expand and modernise its manufacturing operations across yarn, sheeting, paper and renewable energy.
The investment programme aims to strengthen production capabilities, improve operational efficiency and support the company’s long-term growth.
As part of the expansion, Trident plans to enhance its existing yarn manufacturing facility at Budhni, Madhya Pradesh, by adding 99,840 spindles and modernising older spinning equipment. The company will also establish a new yarn manufacturing facility at Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, with a proposed capacity of 1,99,680 spindles.
In the sheeting segment, the company will increase its manufacturing capacity by adding 336 looms, taking the total number of looms from 504 to 840. These additions are expected to strengthen its textile manufacturing capabilities and support increased production requirements.
A key development for the paper industry is the planned expansion of Trident’s paper manufacturing capacity by an additional 28 tonnes per day (TPD). This will increase the company’s total paper production capacity from 479 TPD to 507 TPD, strengthening its position in the paper manufacturing sector.
In addition to manufacturing expansion, Trident has approved investment in a 60 MW hybrid renewable energy project combining wind and solar power. This initiative is intended to support energy efficiency and promote the use of renewable energy across its operations.
The projects will be implemented in phases, with completion timelines extending from December 2027 to September 2029. Through this investment programme, Trident aims to expand its manufacturing infrastructure, enhance production efficiency and strengthen its presence across the textile and paper industries.
