Voith brings PM 19 on stream at Wuzhou Specialty Paper

Voith Group has successfully commissioned PM 19 at Wuzhou Specialty Paper, marking a significant advancement in high-performance papermaking technology.

The new machine is now fully operational and represents a major milestone in strengthening production capabilities and efficiency at the mill.

PM 19 is the first machine worldwide to feature Voith’s advanced DuoCentri NipcoFlex press with an integrated center belt. This innovative configuration enables a fully closed web run from the press section to the dryer section, eliminating open draws and significantly improving process stability. As a result, the system minimizes web breaks and ensures a smoother and more reliable production flow.

The introduction of this cutting-edge press technology also enhances machine runnability, allowing faster and safer threading operations. In addition, it reduces mechanical stress on key components, which helps improve operational efficiency while extending the lifespan of the equipment. These benefits collectively contribute to optimized productivity and reduced maintenance requirements.

Voith delivered a complete and integrated system package for PM 19, including advanced automation, quality control systems, and technical support services. This comprehensive approach ensured a seamless start-up process and enabled the machine to achieve stable production performance from the initial phase itself.

The successful start-up of PM 19 highlights the strong partnership between Voith and Wuzhou Specialty Paper, demonstrating their shared commitment to innovation and excellence. This project sets a new benchmark for modern paper machines, reinforcing the role of advanced technologies in driving the future of the global paper industry.
