Amtech Rolls Out New Capabilities to Accelerate Growth for Corrugated Manufacturers

Amtech Launches New Hand Work Suite to Help Corrugated Manufacturers Expand Revenue Opportunities

Amtech, a leading provider of AI-powered software solutions for the corrugated industry, has introduced a new hand work suite designed to help corrugated box and sheet plants efficiently manage hand assembly, assembled products, contract packaging, value-added fulfillment, and related production processes from a single platform.

With rising containerboard and sheet prices continuing to put pressure on profit margins, corrugated manufacturers are increasingly looking to diversify their services beyond traditional box production. Demand for value-added offerings such as product kits, retail displays, contract packaging, pack-out, and fulfillment services is growing, enabling manufacturers to strengthen customer relationships while generating new revenue streams that are less dependent on fluctuating paper costs.

Amtech’s latest solution addresses these changing market needs through two integrated capability levels. EnCore Assembled Products is designed to manage hand assembly operations for products such as kits, displays, and packaged sets, streamlining production workflows and inventory management. EnCore Contract Packaging extends these capabilities to support more advanced contract packaging and co-manufacturing operations, including customer-supplied materials, component tracking, production line reconciliation, variance monitoring, and audit compliance.

The new suite also enhances Amtech’s Advanced Planning Board with dedicated hand assembly scheduling capabilities. Production planners can now coordinate converting operations and hand assembly activities within a unified scheduling environment, providing greater visibility into workforce requirements, production capacity, person-hour planning, and the seamless coordination between manufacturing and downstream fulfillment operations.

Commenting on the launch, Danna Nelson, Senior Vice President of Products at Amtech, said the company collaborated closely with industry professionals to develop a solution that simplifies the planning, scheduling, execution, and tracking of assembled products and contract packaging. She noted that the new capabilities enable corrugated manufacturers to strengthen operational efficiency while expanding the range of services they can offer customers.

By integrating these workflows into the EnCore platform and Advanced Planning Board, Amtech eliminates the need for disconnected spreadsheets, homegrown databases, and third-party software often used to manage hand assembly operations. Manufacturers can oversee complex product structures, component inventories, assembly lines, production reporting, scheduling, and inventory activities through a single, centralized operating platform.

The introduction of the new hand work suite reflects Amtech’s ongoing commitment to supporting corrugated manufacturers as they diversify their operations, improve productivity, and capture new business opportunities through value-added products and services.
