Tieto is expanding its long-standing collaboration with Danish technology company GN into a global software engineering partnership.
The new multi-year agreement marks a significant step in the relationship, with the companies sharing a long-term vision to broaden the cooperation and develop it into an increasingly strategic global partnership. The partnership has a planned five-year horizon, with a minimum commitment of three and a half years.
GN is a global technology company with a strong heritage in innovation across intelligent hearing, audio, video, and collaboration solutions. Its wide portfolio includes brands like Jabra, SteelSeries, and FalCom. The expanded partnership brings together teams and capabilities across geographies, reflecting the increasingly global nature of the collaboration between GN and Tieto’s consulting business, Tieto Tech Consulting.
As a first step, Tieto’s consulting business will support GN in establishing and operating a new Software Centre of Excellence in China. The centre will provide additional engineering capacity and contribute to building long-term software capabilities as GN continues to evolve its portfolio.
The collaboration will support key areas within GN, including professional headsets and solutions for frontline workers, video and conferencing solutions, as well as digital experiences around GN’s products and services. In parallel, the companies will explore opportunities to accelerate software roadmap and architecture deliveries, drawing on Tieto’s global software engineering and AI expertise.
“For us, this partnership is about building the capabilities and global delivery model needed to support our software ambitions over the long term. We have worked with Tieto’s tech consultants for many years, and expanding our collaboration globally gives us the opportunity to build on that foundation and bring additional expertise and capacity to our teams across geographies,” says Rajat Mehta, VP for Software Solutions, GN Group.
Tieto will bring together expertise from its global organization to support GN, while the Software Centre of Excellence in China adds a new dimension to the companies’ international collaboration.
“We are very pleased to expand our relationship with GN and take our collaboration to a global level. This is an important partnership for Tieto Tech Consulting and a strong example of how we can combine our global delivery capabilities with deep software engineering and AI expertise to support our customers’ long-term ambitions. We look forward to building the next chapter of our partnership with GN,” says Patrik Strandéus, Head of R&D Accounts & Sales, Tieto Tech Consulting.
