Minhan Paper, Vietnam, successfully starts up new OCC line supplied by ANDRITZ

Minhan Paper Joint Stock Company has successfully started up a new OCC (Old Corrugated Containers) line supplied by ANDRITZ to its mill in Van Lam, Hung Yen Province, Vietnam.

This start-up strengthens Minhan’s position in the growing Vietnamese packaging market. The line has a design capacity of 700 t/d and processes a mix of American OCC and Local OCC to produce high-quality testliner and corrugated medium paper.

It includes a full stock preparation system from pulping to approach flow, featuring advanced fiber recovery, broke handling, and reject treatment, which comprises:

  • a PrimeSolve LC system with advanced set-up and the latest detrasher rotor design for highly efficient reject removal and excellent slushing performance
  • a PrimeScreen X with state-of-the-art rotor design, enabling high screening efficiency, low power consumption, and superior stock quality with low fiber loss. Mr. Vu Hoang Viet, Director of Minhan Paper, says: “This OCC line represents a key addition to our production capabilities. We appreciate the expertise and support provided by ANDRITZ throughout the project and are confident that it will contribute to our long-term growth and environmental goals.”

Minhan Paper, founded in 2020, specializes in the production of corrugated paper, paperboard, and containerboard. This successful start-up further reinforces ANDRITZ’s strong presence in Southeast Asia’s fiber industry.
