JinYoung Paper Begins PM1 Turbo Blower Project After PM2 Success

The kick-off meeting for the JinYoung Paper PM1 Turbo Blower project took place last week at the mill site in South Korea.

This project is the second for the mill, as just a year ago JinYoung Paper PM2’s RunEco Vacuum System started up, replacing five liquid ring pumps. Compared to the situation before the rebuild, the power consumption of the vacuum system at PM2 dropped by more than 50%. These results, along with the operational experience with the EP Turbo Blower, convinced the customer to install a similar system on PM1.

Close to 40 EP Turbo Blowers are in operation in South Korea. Systems that came on stream last year alone reduce the country’s power consumption by almost one MW, which is equivalent to 8.76 GWh/a and 3,460 tCO2/a carbon dioxide emissions.
